Tips to help you get a job offer
CV writing and interview tips
The perfect CV is the one that gets you an interview.
There are no real ‘rights’ on CV writing, but there are plenty of ‘wrongs’. A CV is designed to get you an interview; therefore it must get the interviewers attention in the first few lines.
A good CV will be aimed at the employers company and their specific requirements so be prepared to have a number of CV’s prepared and adjust your CV to the job you are applying for.
Professional CV writers tend to produce well laid out CV’s but the final product lacks your personalisation and your business acumen. A good recruiter or hiring manager can tell if a CV has been produced by a third party just by talking to you.
As your CV must make an impact in the first 30 seconds of reading take great care in getting your profile right, it must have enough information in a few lines to make the reader want to continue reading it.
